Meera
The world breaks everyone, and afterward, some are strong at the broken places.~ Ernest Hemingway
BASIC
Full Name: Meera
Goes By: Meera
Gender: Female
Age: 14
Race: Human
APPEARANCE
Face Claim: Ellie Kendrick
Hair Colour: Dark Chocolate
Eye Colour: Coffee
Skin Tone: Cream
Height: 5'3"
Weight: 137
Build: Lean and lithe.
Overall Appearance: Meera could be considered pretty, in a somber sort of way. Her face is angular with wide expressive coffee colored eyes, framed by startling thick lashes, they sit above a proud hawk like nose. Her lips are thin, but are almost always seen in a soft smile, as if Meera knows something that you do not. She stands at a modest 5'3" and carries it with practiced grace, her curves are, once again, modest, and accentuate her figure with the lean musculature that she had developed over the years. Meera's most noticeable feature, however, is the unruly mop of hair that sits upon her shoulders. It is curly beyond measure and is absolutely unmanageable, it's length causes it to rest just above her shoulder's and makes it rather difficult to tie back.
PERSONALITY
Likes: Meera is very easily pleased, she enjoys the occasional sweet cake, she enjoys helping others, and she enjoys spending time around her family, even if that in itself can become quite tiring at times....(sigh) She also enjoys spending time alone and seeks solace in the quiet mystery that is the wilderness. She enjoys watching people and animals, seeing how they interact with their environment and the problems that they are dealt.
Dislikes: Meera dislikes being ordered about like some common work animal and avoids all most all situations in which she known that will be done, she hates liars and cheats, cannot stand people who do so to better their own lives or situation. She holds no affection for tightly closed places nor being forced to stay inside to do menial chores and 'feminine' past times.
Strengths: It is well known that Meera is the huntress of the family, she spends hours and sometimes even days outside on a particular hunt...She doesn't quite realize it, but she is a key part of their daily meals. She is a phenomenal tracker and can survive in the wilds alone if ever needed. Her skills with a bow are exceptional for a young girl of 14 years, her skills with daggers are much less known than that with a bow, but she is still able to prep and skin a stag without any assistance. She is relatively small and very fast able to climb a tree or scale a wall much faster than her other siblings.
Weaknesses: Meera's weaknesses are simple, yet can cripple her to a point of paralysis. She is severely claustrophobic, which is why she spends so much time out doors. She also suffers from a slight inferiority complex, she is always trying to match up to her siblings and their , in her eyes, amazing feats.
Fears: She fears rejection above all else, she fears that the world will see her as useless, as something easily discarded. While other's might be loud and strong in order to ensure that they are never rejected, Meera is the opposite. She stays quiet and helps from the side lines, hoping to stay out of sight, unnoticed to that they do not have the chance to reject her. She has trouble conveying her thoughts through words and very few of her family members and neighbors can actually understand the quiet child of Morwen and Cenred.
Overall Personality: Meera is many things, but above all she is quiet. She passes through a room like a ghost, unnoticed, her footsteps silent. She is even quiet when she speaks, she is soft spoken. She is not shy by any means, she just prefers to be silent and observe rather than argue and participate. She takes pride in her skills and becomes almost giddy when those skills are acknowledged. She loves helping others in anyway she can and is well known for being overly sweet and somewhat gullible. Alright not somewhat, she is extremely gullible, and more often times than not would be teased and harassed by the other children in town when ever she ventured there. She is often considered rather odd due to her quiet nature and can often be called cold and aloof when she is the exact opposite.

Other Relations: Meera doesn't interact with many people other than her family, let alone talk to them...And she doesn't even talk to them all that much. Her elder brother Cor is one of the exceptions, him and his childhood friend Bryni. Meera doesn't talk to him all that much, but because of lack of trying, she truly does wish to speak to him but all she can manage is a quick hello before she gets tongue tied. She doesn't believe her knows about her infatuation, but she does think that Cor suspects something with the amount he teases her. Meera enjoys spending time with her younger sibling rather than her elder siblings, mainly due to the fact that she doesn't believe her younger siblings aren't as judging as her elders. There is an older gentlemen that Meera sometimes visits, his name is Addramyr, he is a bit of a hermit and is widely rumored to be dangerous. He is heavily scarred and most that know of her interaction with him highly discourage it, but she brushes it off, he is the one that taught her what she knows of hunting.
Overall History: Born a middle child of a rather extensive family, Meera was always vying for attention from both her parents and her elder siblings. She loved her parents, as any child would, her father was a shadow that she knew she had, and she loved him, but never really saw him or knew him in her life. Her mother was another story, Morwen was relatively active in Meera's life, but from a very young age, Meera took to avoiding her mother and her 'lessons', Meera loved her mother, but she loved freedom a bit more. Granted, she would do what she was told, but at every opportunity, she would escape to the outdoors.
From a very young age Meera understood that she would rather be away from home and the chaos that was her family, and so whenever her mother would be busy tutoring her other siblings on how to read or write she would escape to the outdoors, sometimes seeking out her elder siblings that had already learned how to do as such, or just to wander the farm on a wild adventure. It wasn't long until she began to explore more and more of the area surrounding their little farm, and it was at the tender age of five that she had first wandered into the wilds.
It was well into the evening that she had realized she had become hopelessly and utterly lost, while most children would wail upon such a realization, Meera stayed quiet and relatively calm. She turned around and began to wander back the direction she believed she came from. It was dark when she realized that she would not make it home. So she found a small alcove in the roots of a giant tree, she fell asleep with tears streaking down her face. She awoke to the strangled cry of a dying animal and opened her eyes to see a full grown deer fall at her feet with an arrow stuck in it's quivering side. The shock caused a small squeak to escape her mouth drawing the eyes of the hunter across the clearing. That was the first time she met the scarred giant known as Addramyr, and skinned her first animal. She was escorted home with twigs in her hair, blood on her hands, and the biggest gap toothed smile on her childlike face.
The next few years progressed with more and more of these excursions to the woods, until one day when she was 11 that she returned home to find that her father was home and for some reason, did not return to work that day, he was still asleep, and that struck Meera as odd. It was explained to her that her father had indeed died of an illness, and Meera somewhat understood.
After that, the family returned to normal, their life changing very little after their father's absence. Meera didn't mind their Mother's excursions to the balls too much, as a matter of fact she rejoiced some what, no more reading lessons! And when she stopped coming home, Meera did not notice as quickly as her siblings. Despite this, Meera's life did not change, she hunted a bit more that normal but she avoided her family for the most part...

ROLE-PLAY SAMPLE
Just like the first night so many years ago, Meera was filled with excited apprehension. Her eyes were focused on her target, the great stag stood peacefully among the underbrush, him and his doe grazed contentedly, unaware that they were being hunted by a predatory that they would have no chance against. Her breath eased out in one smooth rush just as she released the tension on her bow.
The arrow flew straight and true. It struck the heart of the beast and it fell instantly, moving quickly she jumped from her position in the tree to her prey, ignoring the startled crashing of the other forest animals fleeing. She knelt down next to the animal, it's wild eyes already glazing over with the pain of death.
Meera tried not to think of the life she was taking and instead focused on thanking the rabbit that had given it's life instead of the majestic stag that would father the next generation of deer that would one day fall to her bow and be sold to help feed her family. A small smile curled her lips, along with the two pheasant she had shot earlier dinner would be a hearty and most likely rambunctious affair tonight. Pulling out her dagger she quickly cut a strip of leather and tied it to the rabbit's feet and then latched it to her belt along with her other kills. She was already thinking of what she could do with the animals, the pheasant feathers would go towards a new pillow and maybe she could make charms from the rabbit's feet for her youngest siblings. She smiled at the thought and decided that with this kill she would have just enough to make some new fur lined shoes for Cor for this coming winter, his old ones had several holes....Meera stood wiping off her bum as she stretched, a quick glance at the position of the sun signaled that she should have probably started heading home hours ago, but she couldn't just leave like that, the excuse of not having enough for dinner wouldn't be enough to get out of a scolding tonight though....Cor would be upset with her, she knew it...Ooops.
