As soon as the sun was high enough, and the light seeped through the curtains of his window, Andrew smiled as he woke. Today was the day. He shot up out of bed and quickly got dressed before heading to the main room. He discovered that everyone else was already awake and eating breakfast.
"Why did no one wake me?" He asked as he sat next to Sophia and began eating off his plate.
"Well we figured since you were workin extra hard yesterday we'd let ya sleep in a bit." His dad explained cleaning off his plate and putting it away. Andrew nodded giving his thanks and turned to his sister, his smile never once falling.
"Sophia, you remember what today is right?" He asked as he pulled the crumpled letter from his pocket. Sophia looked at it for a moment before her eyes widened and she jumped off her chair excited.
"Cor comes back today! He's coming back!!" She spun in a circle as she exclaimed with joy. Everyone laughing and enjoying her excitedness. Andrew nodded setting the note down. He remembers receiving the letter and reading that the boy they met months ago was returning for a visit. Andrew had never been more happy than in that moment.
"Well someone best get on their chores then if they want to be done by noon." His mother had said cleaning off his and Sophia's plates. Andrew nodded and quickly slipped on his shoes and ran out the door to the barn.
"No goodbye?!" His mother had called after him but was met with silence. Sighing with a smile she picked up Sophia to get her dressed, "what are we going to do with that boy Sophia?" She watched with a smile as the little girl shrugged and giggled along with her mother.

"This really don't seem worth it- there's nothin' here! Did you really have to bring me along with yourself?" The peaceful quiet on the road east from Edoras was broken by the continual whining of the youngest member of Cor's family. And by the heavens, he made a heck of a lot of noise for someone as small as he was.
"Right any more of your complainin' and you'll be a-walkin' the rest of the way there!" Cor said, wishing for this seemingly eternally long road to end as he didn't know how much longer he could put up with his brother's whining and moaning (He had a feeling that despite his threat, it would only shut Harp up for a few minutes before he started up again). His little brother huffed frustratedly and folded his arms grumpily, muttering something that sounded like 'it's not as if I wanted to go anyway'.
"And I swear you'll be nailed to the saddle if you move again!" Cor said as he gave Harper a cuff around the ear, finding it increasingly difficult to ride when his little brother was starting to fidget in front of him.
Perhaps this wasn't the best idea...
Cor had initially thought it would be a good idea to bring along some of his siblings to meet Andrew and Sophie, after all it would be nice for them to meet some of his family and if he was headed out, he could at least make things easier for the others and take a couple troublemakers with him. Little did he realise how long the journey would be with the addition of just two of his younger siblings.
"So is this farm nice?" Cendwyn piped up from behind them. She was riding her own horse though Cor had attached a rope to the animal's bridle so that she didn't wander off.
"Is it more nice than our farm?" Harper added.
"Bloody more quiet than ours but it's good farm, tidy... though seemed a little empty last time I been." Cor replied.
"And this Andrew has one sister Sophia?" Cendwyn continued.
"Right that-"
"Is she nice too or is she boring? Because I don't want to be bored there as well as on the way there..." Cendwyn now picked up moaning duties from Harp.
"She's polite and a decent girl, and I'd hope you be just as nice back. Especially if you're goin' to be wanting to 'elp name the horse we'll be pickin' out today-" Cor started before being interrupted by one of the most wonderful sights he could have wished for at that very moment; there in the distance was Andrew's farm.
"There it is," Cor smiled as he set the horses at a slow trot down the final leg of the journey up to the gate.

Andrew was working hard and fast to make sure his chores were done quick so he'd have time to put on better clothes. He had just finished feeding the pigs and was now making his way towards Ent and the other horses to make sure they were already taken care of by his father. Father always took care of the bigger animals, but he liked to make sure that they were doing ok. Peeking his head through the stables he glanced at the other horses and nodded firmly seeing that they were relaxed and enjoying their lazy day.
Closing the doors he wiped the sweat from his brow and went back to work.
Once he was finished he went to their water faucet and gulped down some of the nice cold water. The day was warm and he was thankful for that. Leaning against the barn he looked off into the distance and squinted a bit to better see the two horses coming down the path. He smiled and quickly went to the house.
"Sophia they're here!" He ran to his room to wash and put on new clothes. Meanwhile Sophia squealed with delight, grabbed Lord Phillip and ran to stand outside the door.

As Cor recognised two familiar faces at the foot of the gate leading to the small country farmhouse, he gave a warm smile and waved to the two siblings. He looked down to his younger brother and discretely nudged Harper so he would do the same or at the very least put on a smile now that they had arrived at their destination. Hopefully Harp could at least look like he was excited... though acting was most certainly not Cendwyn's strong point and if she did not see the need to, she would not follow any nature of instruction-including a request to put on a smile whilst they enjoyed the hospitality of some very friendly hosts.
He slowly turned to look at his sister, dreading to see what look she'd have on her face. She had an eye for detail and would pick at all the faults in... well, in anything really. And whilst Cór knew that she only wanted to help others improve by pointing out what they could do better, there were much more delicate and subtle ways to put it than the way Cendwyn always did. After all, it never bode well if one introduced themselves to strangers by pointing out all their faults.
Much to his surprise, Cendwyn looked fairly neutral. Though nonetheless, Cór gave her an exaggeratedly big smile to encourage her to do so too. He thought he saw the hint of a smile reach her face, but he couldn't be sure as the horses slowed.
"Andrew! M'lady Sophia! It's great to be seeing with ye again!" Cór greeted cheerfully before dismounting and helping both Harp and Cendwyn to do the same. The three of them, with their two horses in tow walked up to the siblings.
"Let me introduce ye the young'uns Harper and Cendwyn" Cór smiled, gesturing to the two of the them.
"Harp suits me good and it's good to be getting to know yous" The family's youngest child smiled, not bashful in the slightest when it came to mixing with new folk.
"You two seem interesting enough, so I am sure we can get along." Cendwyn added in as she beamed at the pair.
"And there's a fraction of my lot and probably all I can handle on a day like this" Cór winked as he playfully ruffled Harper's hair.

Andrew made it back outside just as Cor started introducing his siblings. Andrew repeated the names multiple times in his head to make sure he'd remember them and not to confuse one with the other. He gave a warm but shy smile at each before placing a hand on Sophia's shoulder.
"Good to meet you both. I'm Andrew, and this is my sister Sophia" Sophia smiled brightly and slightly bounced up and down with excitement.
"Andrew you forgot Phillip!" She frowned up at him earning a small chuckle with a roll of his eyes. Andrew gestured to the teddy bear in her arms that now only had one eye and cleared his throat.
"And uhh..This is Lord Phillip." Sophia nodded as he fixed his mistake and looked back to their guests.
"Hi! What games do you like to play?" She asked quickly clutching Lord Phillip tightly to her chest. Just then their dad came out with a grin on his face and leaned in the doorway. "Hello again Cor, nice to see you again. Would you like me to go put them in the stables for you?" He gestured to the two horses.

Out of the corner of his eye, Cór saw Harp eye the stuffed bear as though he wanted to be sick all over it. A part of Cór suspected that deep down, Harp probably did miss his own stuffed animal before it had been eaten by a goat- though the youngest of the family did a very good job of looking rather unimpressed. Or so he did until Cór elbowed the boy to remind him of his manners. "It's good to meet all of you- uh, all three of you that is." The youngest smiled as he stuck his hand out for Sophia to shake. At which Cór beamed quite proud of his youngest brother.
"And so would that make you Lord Phillip's Lady? Or does he remain unwed?" As she gave Sophia and Phillip a graceful curtsey. It probably wasn't the best to be overly analytical of the status that a young girl's stuffed animal had, but at least she was being polite about it.
Harper's polite smile quickly to an enthusiast grin as Sophia asked about games. "Oh where to start! We play just about anything but my personal favourite is Riders and Barbarians! And that's when we have a group pretend to be the riders of Rohan and then they have to catch all of the evil savage Dunlendings!" Harper exclaimed.
Cór had to laugh at how quickly his brother's mood seemed to change and he turned his attention to Andrew's father who had turned up. "Much thanks to you, Sir" Cór smiled warmly. He had forgotten just quite how friendly this household was. "It's loverly to see ye again too. Though I think it won't be long until we be heading down to look at the horses you got there for us." Cór let Andrew's father lead the two horses to the family stables, before turning to Andrew.
"So how've ye been Andrew?" Cór greeted warmly, embracing Andrew.

Sophia giggled as they involved Lord Phillip into the conversation. But then frowned when Harper mentioned the game they play at home.
"We don't know that game..me and Andrew just go down to the fields and play hide and seek in the tall grass or we roll down the big hills.." She looked down.
Andrew put a comforting hand on her shoulder as he turned to Cor. "I'm doing great actually! Not much has changed since your last visit though. How long will you three be staying?"
He secretly hoped they'd be staying most of the day as he wanted to show Cor the beauty he sneaks out almost every night to see.
